CFFF attended the 2016 CAFC Conference

The Canadian Fallen Firefighter Foundation recently attended the Canadian Association of Fire Chief’s conference (Fire Rescue Canada) in St. John’s Newfoundland. Perfect venue for a get together and Atlantic Director Bruce Paradis was busy discussing CFFF goals and family support with many who dropped by the booth on the trade show floor. The message at this conference was for departments to get out and look at their historic records for any Line of Duty Deaths that may have not been recognized to date. Interestingly, many of those that stopped by knew of names from their respective departments that are not on the Canadian Firefighter Memorial and hopefully those names will be submitted soon. Thanks to CAFC and all those that attended for supporting our worthy cause!

Derek Simmons, Fire Commissioner for Newfoundland and Labrador stopped by the CFFF booth looking for more information on the Canadian Firefighter Memorial.
