The Foundation was once again at the annual BC Fire Expo on the 2 and 3 of June 2019 in Penticton, British Columbia. First VP Doug Wylie and Director Wayne Jasper manned the booth and were, as always, swamped by those interested in the work of the Foundation. The booth was once again sponsored in part by Smith Brownlee & Associates, long time co-sponsors of the CFFF at the BC Fire Expo and Dave Mitchell and Associates, also co-sponsors and all are appreciated for their support.
One of our past family members was also able to stop by. Chief Dennis Allan Montgomery of the District of MacKenzie Fire Department was honored in Ottawa in 2009. Mrs. Sheila Montgomery has made several journeys back to Ottawa since her husband was honored and for the 10th Anniversary Sheila asked the Foundation if she could volunteer in any capacity to help the Fallen Firefighters Families, for 2019. It is always a pleasure to have family members come back and assist as they know first-hand what our families are going through.
