On September 14, 2013 a small ceremony was held in Listowel, Ontario to unveil a new monument dedicated to the North Perth Fire Department’s Firefighter Raymond Walter and Deputy District Chief Kenneth Rea. The two firefighters died in the line of duty at a fire in Listowel on March 17, 2011. The new monument depicting a bronze statue of a kneeling firefighter sits prominently on the front lawn of the Town Hall. President Robert Kirkpatrick represented the Foundation and visited with the families who attended the 2012 Canadian Firefighters Memorial Ceremony in Ottawa.
