Long Time Serving Director Steps Down from the CFFF

At the Annual General Meeting in September, Director Wayne Jasper stepped down from the Board of Directors after giving his time to the Foundation for the last 12 years. Wayne joined the board in 2008 but was an avid supporter of the Foundation since 2004, attending every ceremony and taking on key roles. During his tenure as a director, Wayne took on the Line of Duty Death Chairman shortly after joining the board and carried on in this very integral position to 2018. Wayne also took on the web site redevelopment and all social media which, to anyone that has ever done this, is a tireless task for an organization as large as the CFFF. You may have also seen Wayne posting the Vigil at the ceremonies and issuing the Remembrance Medallions.

Wayne will be missed but, with his retirement from the NDFS and taking on new roles with the Anarchist Mountain Fire Department as Training Officer and now Deputy Fire Chief, we are sure that his plate is as full again as it was with us, thanks Wayne!

President of the CFFF David Sheen presents Director Wayne Jasper with a token of appreciation for his 12 years on the Board of Directors at the recent AGM in Ottawa.
