Toronto, ON
Sunday marked the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks which claimed thousands of lives and continues to have a significant impact around the world as the war on terrorism continues and issues around security remain in the forefront.
In memory of the lives lost and changed forever from the events of September 11th, Bruce Power made a $10,000 donation to the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation on behalf of our employees.
The Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation was created to honour and remember firefighters killed in the line of duty and to support their families. One of the major initiatives of the Foundation is the construction of a national memorial which will be officially unveiled in Ottawa in 2012.
