Story

William Walker “Bill” as he was called by all his friends. Bill was born in Gaurdbridge, Scotland approx. 5 miles from the famous St. Andrew’s golf course. He immigrated to Canada and joined the Toronto Fire Department on May 26, 1961. Bill was an active member of the TFD golf league. In 1981, after a heart bypass operation, Bill went to Fire Prevention for 10 years.

Bill was the first to recover enough to go back to the active firefighting division till he was succumbed to Hodgkin-lymphoma cancer on September 28, 1993. He was an amazing husband and father. He was kind, quiet and a gentlemen with a deep faith. Bill will be sadly missed by his family and closest friends.
