Captain Ray Ross, Calgary Fire Department

Family Memories

Ray was an avid fisherman, hunter, horseman, baseball, and hockey coach and loved to travel. He was a loving father, grandfather, and brother.

He was deeply interested in the history of every country he visited and would spend hours visiting museums all over the world.

He always had a smile on his face when he was watching his grandchildren play hockey or the various other sporting events they played, visiting the cabin in Fernie, watching dance recitals or teaching them some of his secret tricks for hunting and fishing. He was patient and kind with a heart filled with love for his family. He was affectionately known as Grandpa RR.

He will be forever missed by the people whose lives he touched in love and friendship.
