John Bowker

John Bowker was a proud member of the Peterborough Fire Department for 29 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, his wife, 3 daughters, and grandchildren. In his free time, John could be found on his bike, in the kayak or on a hike.

John devoted much of his career to sharing his passion for pre-hospital care- he did this through his training company JBL First Aid which serviced volunteer fire depts, pre-service fire students, and interested public. He loved helping people find the confidence to step up in emergency situations. He’s remembered affectionately by his community and missed infinitely by his family.
