Family Memories:
Brian, or Chico as he was known by his fellow Firefighters, was admired and respected by all who knew him and worked with him. His demeanor in life was humble and laid back, he was was a proud and loving husband, father and grandfather. He was also an avid baseball and ground hockey player and an all-around good athlete. Brian was close with many of his fellow Firefighters and there were many shared adventures away from work. He was also one of the group of Halifax Firefighters who founded the Burn Treatment Society in Halifax.
Brian made every Firefighter he worked with feel confident and capable. He always put others first. He was, more than anything, a gentleman. At the fire station he loved to laugh at the fire ground he was all business. He was an aggressive firefighter and fire officer and made all those who worked with him better. There was no Captain more trusted on interior fire attack than Chico.
Brian leaves fond memories with all that know and love him. He is missed.
