Edward George Cashaback
Edward was born and raised in Cochrane, Ontario. He joined the National Defence Fire Service as a firefighter in Moosenee, Ontario, in September 1962. He transferred to Canadian Forces Base Borden in 1965. He became a platoon chief in 1983.
He retired in 1986, just months short of 35 years spent as a fire fighter. He retired to live in Englehart, Ontario. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his many friends and family. He made friends no matter where he went. I spent 35 years with him, and I and his family and friends sorely miss him.
He passed away January. 18Th 2023. from prostrate cancer.
