Peter E Holt
Captain
Story
On May 27, 2014, Peter Eric Holt set sail on this new adventure. Peter was born in Victoria, April 17, 1947, and moved to Burnaby Mountain where he spent his childhood until he went north to become an Iron Worker, eventually returning to the Lower Mainland to work on some of the major structures, like the Second Narrows Bridge, Mica Creek Dam and the Bill Bennett Dam, that we still see today.
In 1973, he joined the Burnaby Fire Department where he served for 30 years, retiring as a Captain in 2003. Peter also owned and operated Cedar West Excavating for many years where he enjoyed digging in the dirt! Peter loved what he did and had a passion for hunting and fishing. Many will remember him for his amazing cooking and his good old limericks. “Who has more fun than people”
