Family Memories/Souvenirs de famille
Gordon Hay - or “Hayseed” as he was known by his fellow firefighters - was with the Nepean Fire Department for 30 years. He always had a way of “bringing the JOY” and a positive outlook on everything he did in his life. Everyone loved to be around him both at home and on shift. He always said, “It is not what life deals you, but it is how you deal with life.”
Gordie is missed by many including his wife Arlene, children Robert (wife Michelle) and Angela (husband Jason), his grandkids (Emily, Jordan, Jessica, Spencer, Tori), brothers and sisters, extended family, and friends. He had a great sense of humour and was always up for a practical joke. He was light[1]hearted, easy-going, and loved life. He was very involved in his local church and was even known to participate in fundraisers like the MS Bike Tour. The memories of joy and laughter will never be forgotten. He has now taken up residency in heaven, and we look forward to the day we can see him again.
