FIREFIGHTER DAVID PUST - CAMBRIDGE FIRE DEPARTMENT, ON

Firefighter Davis Pust died from a work related illness on April 3, 2023. He joined the fire department in 1989.

Dave lived to be a firefighter. It was his dream and passion. He followed in his fathers footsteps. First as a volunteer firefighter for 12 years in the town of Durham Ontario where his father was the Fire Chief. Then serving on the Cambridge Fire Department for the next 30 years. Reluctantly retiring at the age of 60 in 2019.

Dave enjoyed and cherished his life with his loving wife, daughter, three grandchildren, brother, sister and many extended family members. He was greatly respected by his family and friends and will be remembered for his giving nature and unfailing kindness.

His other passions included his love for fishing and traveling, setting foot on every continent at least once.

Dave's death was the result of a work-related illness. He will be forever in our hearts. Our memories of his gracious and good spirited personality inspire us to become our best selves.
