Family Memories
Brian Tucker, or “Tuck” as he was known by his fellow firefighters, proudly served as a volunteer firefighter with the North Perth Fire Department for 20 years. At the same time, he worked at Home Hardware’s head office in St. Jacobs for 28 years. Brian also played recreational hockey, was an avid golfer, and an enthusiastic Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He loved spending his summers at the lake with his family and friends and enjoyed traveling, or even just spontaneously going away for a day. Brian was an active member in his community. He coached Minor Hockey for several years and served as a member of the hockey executive for the Listowel Minor Hockey Association. Additionally, he was a board member for the North Perth Recreation Advisory Committee.
At the age of 54, Brian was unexpectedly diagnosed with an inoperable glioblastoma brain tumour. He courageously battled for 18 months, while never giving up hope, until his death, just two weeks before his 56th birthday. He passed away with his dignity still intact.
Brian is survived by his wife Lee-Ann, his children Jordan and Brody (Emily), and his grandchildren Clara and Tatum. He was a true family man and a loyal friend to many. He was well respected by all who knew him. His generosity, humour, and willingness to help or chat with anyone is certainly missed. His acts of kindness, unforgettable antics, and genuine love are still consistent topics of conversation for many, and these memories either bring a smile, laugh, or tear. Brian is deeply missed, never forgotten, and forever in our hearts.
