Family Memories
Ron Jay was a Firefighter with the Saanich Fire Department in Victoria BC for 24 years and retired as a Captain in 1988. Ron was a man with a huge heart, who loved his family and his career as a Firefighter. He was very proud and honored to serve his community and took great pride in everything he did. He was a humble leader and supporter to all his Firefighter colleagues.
Ron was also a well-known athlete who excelled at lacrosse and therefore was inducted to the Victoria Shamrocks Wall of Fame and the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
He was a true family man who took pride in his children and grandchildren supporting & cheering them on when they were engaged in sports, music concerts or dance recitals. He had infectious laughter and cheeky humor, which his Firefighter friends and his family still talk about today. His wisdom, guidance and advice, love and support will live on for many more lifetimes to come.
Thanks for ALL the Memories!!
You are our Hero and always will be!!
Forever in our Hearts
