Story

Ted had the honour and privilege of serving the community of Ponoka. Ted was born and raised in Ponoka and took the responsibility of serving and protecting the town, that raised him, very seriously and with overwhelming pride. Ted became the Full time Fire Chief in 1990 and served in that position for 25 years.

He was a community orientated Fire Chief and took every opportunity to give back, whether that be touring the hundreds of kids that came through his firehall every year, organizing community fire safety events, proctoring and teaching all types of firefighter courses to his members and surrounding departments, and responding to every fire call that came in with professionalism.

The legacy that Ted has left behind is felt by all that have known him or served under him.
