Ralph T Parker
Firefighter
Story
In Memory of Ralph T Parker April 20/1948- October 27/2006
A day doesn't go by that Ralph’s wife Sally and his two daughters, Aynsley and Rachel, do not think about him since his death in 2006.
Ralph was like that; unforgettable and compelling. He was a fun-loving guy that always had a twinkle in his eye and a witty sense of humour that made everyone laugh.
He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend.
He joined the Peterborough Ontario Fire Department in 1979, after semi-retiring from his wild rock ‘n roll band days because he and Sally decided to start a family.
He was well-loved and respected by his fellow firefighters.
He loved fishing and along with his wife or buddies, he went on many fly-in trips to remote spots.
He was a talented piano player and a fifth-generation stone mason.
He became ill in 2002 and passed away in 2006.
Sally and daughters will forever be grateful to the close-knit firefighter community, friends, and family, who helped Ralph throughout his battle with cancer.
His passing has left a terrible hole in many people's lives.
