Story

William served as a volunteer firefighter and Chief in Grunthal, Manitoba for 27 years. Aside from his family, he was more passionate about this than anything else in his life. One of his proudest moments was procuring a new firetruck for the department - he fought hard for it and the day it arrived was an amazing moment for him. He also believed strongly in mentoring the younger firefighters. When he finally retired, he did it because he knew the department was in good hands. He was so proud to serve and he did it well.
