Story

Donald Sturko began his career as a firefighter in 1988. He served his community and kept it safe for over 20 years. He was dedicated and proud of his community. Don helped build and maintained the community skating rink. He raised money and helped build rescue vans. Participated and organized the Christmas Elves drive every winter. Every year you would see Don at the Graduation party supervising and keeping our teens safe while they celebrated. Don was nominated and awarded Volunteer of the Year in 2000. While taking care of his community Don’s greatest accomplished was his family. Proud husband, dad and poppa. “He was one of the good ones”
